I
just found the Beaver pond that was suggested by some gnawed trees
I saw a
few months ago. It's in a previously swampy area across from the
towpath and can be reached with some difficulty. Even so - it's
not in some isolated woodland area, but close to strip malls.

More noticeable growth
and color, the first Forsythia (yawn) and the birds (and Beaver) are busy. |

I don't know how many Beaver are
around or have any idea how they arrive in this built up area, but they're
more than welcome. They have been called 'Earth's Kidney' for their
ability to reclaim toxic land. |
